Kotzen Scholarship invites foreign scholars to pursue undergraduate degree at Simmons College USA for academic year 2021/2022. This viable and excellence based scholarship is granted to intelligent scholars. This is the most respected award offered at Simmons, and recognizes distinction through attention on scholarly research, study abroad and intellectual inquisitiveness.
Kotzen Scholarship covers full tuition, mandatory fees, and room and board. An extra yearly grant of $3000 is given for academic study abroad, summer internship tuition, short-term courses, or research assistance. The scholarship is granted for the period of four years of full-time undergraduate study, and surpasses any earlier awarded merit scholarship. Benefits of Kotzen Scholarship
Kotzen Scholarship provides the recipient with following benefits:
- An annual award of $3,000 is given for study abroad, short-term courses, summer internship tuition, and research support.
- The scholarship handles complete tuition, compulsory fees, and room and board.
Eligibility for Kotzen Scholarship
Scholars applying for the Kotzen Scholarship must fulfil the following criteria:
- RequiredLanguage: English.
- EligibleCountries: All World Countries
- Standardized test score of 28 or greater (ACT), 1300 or greater (new SAT) or 1250 or greater (old SAT – CR+M). At least 600 in each SAT section strongly expected.
- Apply as a freshman for the fall semester
- Non-native English language speakers should submit TOEFL and SAT or ACT scores
- College preparatory curriculum comprising an advanced level math course at the time, or before your senior year of high school
- GPA of 3.3 or upper, unweighted
- A record of taking honors, advanced placement (AP) and international baccalaureate (IB) courses, as accessible in their high school structures
How to Apply for Kotzen Scholarship
Please follow the following application steps to avail Kotzen Scholarship:
- Candidates must finish and submit both their scholarship application and their admission application to the College by December 1.
- The application comprises of two portions. A short answer and a formal essay. Candidates should provide their essays through online form or via email to ugadm@simmons.edu with the subject line “Kotzen Application” by December 1. On every page of the document candidates should add their full name and date of birth.
- Short Answer (of no more than 250 words): How would you use your additional annual award of $3000 (for study abroad, short-term courses, summer internship tuition, and/or research support)?
- Formal Essay (not beyond 500 words): In what manner can a woman most effectively lead change in today’s world?
- Interview: Qualifiers selected for scholarship consideration will be expected to complete an on-campus interview which will be carried out in February. If you are a foreign candidate unable to make it to campus, a Skype interview may be done instead.
