The Karolinska Institute Global Masters Scholarship provides ten scholarships each year, spread to all the Global Master’s Program to exceptional scholars beginning each autumn semester. There are numerous Swedish, European and foreign foundations that grant scholarships and awards. The guidelines for different grants and awards can differ – some are proposed to help cover housing expenses, others fund tuition costs (for non EU/EEA citizens) and still others can be utilized for several educational expenses. The institution provides a handful of tuition fee scholarships to exceptional scholars who have been enrolled to one of our Global Master’s starting each Autumn semester. The amount of scholarships varies from year to year, but there are maximum 10 scholarships per year, spread to all the Global Master’s Programs. The competition is intense with around 1500 foreign students applying for the scholarship annually.

Eligibility for Karolinska Institute Global Masters Scholarship
To be qualified for the KI Global Master’s Scholarship candidate must:
- Have made application to one of Karolinska Institute Global Master’s Program beginning 2021
- Be a tuition fee-paying student (not from the EU/EEA)
- Have made payment of the application by 1 February 2021
- Meet the entry and documentation prerequisites for the program you have applied for
- First year students alone are qualified to apply.
Number of Awards: The amount of scholarships varies from year to year, but there are limit of 10 scholarships yearly, spread to all the Global Master’s Program.
Benefits of Karolinska Institute Global Masters Scholarship
The Karolinska Institute Global Masters Scholarship only covers the tuition fee (or part of the tuition fee for the program only partially given by Karolinska Institute).Travel, housing costs and other expenses must be fulfilled with other finance.
Furthermore, please note the Karolinska Institute Global Masters Scholarship only covers tuition fee for students enrolled at a Global Master’s Program here at Karolinska Institutet and cannot be used for other studies.
Steps to Apply for Karolinska Institute Global Masters Scholarship
Every candidate to the Global Master’s program at Karolinska Institute who is pleased to pay tuition bills and have paid the application fee to University Admissions will gotten information and an invitation to apply for the KI Global Master’s Program scholarship after the last day to pay the application payment and submit supporting documents.
Karolinska Institute Global Masters Scholarship Selection Process
The selection process is based on an overall assessment of the applicant’s CV and qualifications that are submitted via University Admissions and evaluated in connection with the application for a KI Global Master’s program. Karolinska Institute Global Masters Scholarship awardees will be notified personally.
