The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree is an integrated, international study program, jointly delivered by an international consortium of higher education institutions.
EMJMDs grants the EU-financed scholarship awards to the top scholar candidates applying under annual selection rounds. Study must occur in at least two of the Program countries. Some of the studies program can also occur in Partner nations if there is a partner-country institution involved. Students at Master’s level worldwide can apply.
Interested applicants should have acquired a first higher education degree or proven a recognized equivalent level of learning, according to national legislation and practices, in the degree awarding nations. If an interceded scholar has already gotten an EMJMD or an Erasmus Mundus Master Course/Joint Doctorate scholarship, he/she is not eligible for an added EMJMD scholarship. He/she cannot benefit from another EU-financed scholarship scheme while he/she is receiving an EMJMD scholarship.
The successful completion of the study program will lead to the award of either a joint degree (i.e. one single degree certificate granted on behalf of at least two higher education institutions of the EMJMD consortium) or multiple degrees (i.e. at least two degree certificates given by two higher education institutions of the consortium).
To authenticate if an EMJMD will be recognized in a specific country, contact the appropriate authorities concerned and provide them with the official name of the course.
