The Camargo Core Program offers space and time in a contemplative setting to think, create, and connect. By encouraging revolutionary research and experimentation, it backs the visionary work of artists, scholars and thinkers in the Arts and Humanities. By encouraging multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches, it intends to foster connections between research and creation. The Fellowship is for:

An area of inquiry should be precise and represent exploration and investigation in the Fellow’s field of study. The Camargo Core Program welcomes both open-ended exploration, or more concentrated works and long-term research projects.
- Exchange & network: at the time of the residency, discussions are done regularly to raise cross-disciplinary exchange between Fellows. In addition, the Camargo Foundation’s Staff make available formal and informal links with local professionals to bring about possible creative teamwork between the Fellow and the region.
