Scholarship Worth and Tenure
A Rhodes Scholarship covers all university and college fees, as well as the university application fee, a living stipend (£15,900 in 2019-20), a settling-in allowance (£225 in 2019-20), health insurance, visa, and two economy class flights to and from the United Kingdom at the start and end of studies in Oxford.
The basic tenure of the scholarship is two years, subject always, and at all times, to satisfactory academic performance and personal conduct.

Citizenship & Residency
All applicant must meet the citizenship and residency requirements of the Rhodes constituency for which they are applying. Please check the detailed information carefully through the country links.
Age
By 1 October of the year following selection, age limits vary by constituency and range from 18 to 28. The age limit in most constituencies is 24 or 25. Before applying, please double-check your constituency’s exact age restrictions. Following the selection process, successful candidates will arrive in Oxford in October. Usually, the Scholarship cannot be postponed.
Education
All applicants must have achieved academic standing sufficiently advanced to assure completion of a bachelor’s degree by October following the election. Academic standing must be adequately high to ensure admission to the University of Oxford, which has very competitive entry requirements and to give confidence that Rhodes Scholars will perform to a high academic standard in Oxford.
Individual constituencies may specify a 1st or alternative. Some constituencies require an undergraduate degree to have been taken within the constituency of application.

Rhodes Scholarship applications open in the spring and summer of the preceding year, usually on the 1st of June or 1st of July. The deadline varies by nation, but it usually falls between July and October of the year before you want to study.
