Theme: “What steps can IWSH take to increase awareness for those who lack access to running water, sanitation?”
PURPOSE
The objective of Essay funding is to acquaint the uninitiated with the crucial importance the plumbing industry plays in our everyday lives. IWSH Essay funding for International Studentsis to familiarize scholars to the worldwide influence of IWSH projects.
Eligibility for IWSH Essay funding for International Students
- Participants have to make available a copy of their present full-time agenda, school transcripts, or acceptance letter with their submission.
- Must be a present high school senior; or admitted or accepted as a full-time (12 credit hours) student in an accredited technical school, community college, trade school, four-year accredited college or university, or an apprentice program.
- International students are eligible. Please submit proper school documentation with the essay.

How to Apply for IWSH Essay funding for International Students
- The deadline for essay submissions is 11:59pm (PT) on April 30, 2021. Late submissions will not be accepted.
- All work must include a cover page containing the student’s name, address, phone contact, and email. We have to be able to get across to you, if we have any inquiry or remarks concerning your entry.
- Written essay must be on the topic noted earlier, and must be an original essay.
- One essay for each student.
- Essays should be no less than 800 words and no above 1,600 words. The essay cover page, added footnotes, references or citation page does not add to to the word count.
- Essays must be typed, double-spaced, in 12-point Times New Roman or an equivalent font with a one-inch margin on all sides of the page. Content standards and style of writing from MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, 8th ed., will be expected for:
a. The documentation of sources in the text of your essay that is to be submitted;
b. The appropriate format of the list of works cited;
c. Margins and indentation; and,
d. Bibliography. - Submissions have to be provided in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. Essays if it is in any other format, it will not be accepted.

WORLD PLUMBING DAY POSTER CONTEST
March 11 is World Plumbing Day. It is a date that has been slated on the calendars of the World Plumbing community since its founding by the WPC in 2010; and is now a fixture on the schedules of political and social institutions all over the universe.
The international plumbing community has an important role in promoting the link between good worth plumbing, health, environmental sustainability and, increasingly, economic prosperity.
11th of March is marked by an international poster competition for children in 1st to 6th grade. The winner gets US$1,000 for their school and US$100 for themselves. 2nd position gets US$500 for their school and US$50 to the student and 3rd position gets US$250 to their school and US$25 to the student.
