About the scholarship
The award is the biggest and most selective scholarship award created by Kansas State University recognizes students who have been truly exceptional, both academically and as student leaders, during their high school career. Two Presidential Scholarships are given each year. This grant aims to attract best students who show the prospects to make exceptionally strong contributions to the K-State student body, both in the classroom and in the extracurricular life of the campus.
Scholarship Descriptions
Finalists will be selected by a committee of campus and community leaders and are required to participate in an on-campus interview. The interview and recognition occasion will comprise a luncheon and other special events. Parents and family members are heartened to attend.

Level/ Field of Study: Kansas State University Scholarships are available to pursue an undergraduate degree program and the Scholarships are awarded to all the subjects offered by the university
Host Nationality: The Presidential Scholarships are hosted by Kansas State University and are to be taken in the USA.

Entrance Requirements:
Applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants with the first degree from a renowned institution of higher education and academically gifted, disadvantaged based on the criteria of disability, socioeconomic status, and are not engaged at work at all or have been involved with work but couldn’t able to fund their study costs will be qualified for the scholarship.
- Have monetary problem to finance graduate university education
- Have leadership/community giveback experience or potential.
Additional Requirements
- ACT score: 32 or above OR SAT score: 1450 or above and
- High school GPA: 3.85 or above and
- Display extraordinary leadership and
- Be a high school senior and
- Be admitted to K-State and
- Attend K-State in Fall 2020
How to Apply for Kansas State University Presidential Scholarship
Applicant first step is to apply for admission by the priority application date related with your expected entry term for complete scholarship consideration. For Manhattan and Polytechnic campus undergraduates, your application for admission will prompt an automatic review of your worthiness for general university scholarships and awards. Further application stages may be required for graduate students.
The moment applicant is admitted to the university, you’ll also want to create and submit a profile in the K-State Scholarship Network (KSN) system. KSN is a means for you to share further details about yourself, your academic interests, and your involvement, which then matches you to further scholarship opportunities.
Note: While K-State is a test-optional school for admission starting in fall 2021, most general university scholarships and awards still require test scores for eligibility. The school is presently in the process of making a scholarship program for incoming domestic freshmen who are admitted without test scores. In the meantime, it is very encouraged to submit your test scores if possible to secure the fastest notification of an award. Applicant can forward in updated test scores through April 30 of your senior year to maximize your scholarship amount.
