University of Mauritius Scholarship is offered as part of the funding provided by the Higher Education Commission (Previously Tertiary Education Commission) for the project titled “A mesoscopic simulator for the optimization of Light Rail Transit Systems”.

International students following a full time course in Mauritius are permitted to work for up to twenty hours a week as per the Employment (Non-Citizens) (Restriction) Exemptions (Amendment) Regulations 2013.

from a recognized institution.
Benefits of University of Mauritius Scholarship
University of Mauritius Scholarshipcovers an annual tuition and registration fees up to a maximum of Rs 75,000 and a monthly stipend: MPhil – Rs 16,500; PhD – Rs 18,300.
Scholarship Duration: The recipient will be given a maximum period of 3 years to finish his/her MPhil/PhD study.
How to Apply for University of Mauritius Scholarship
A short summary of your understanding of the subject will have to be submitted. The summary should not be beyond 2 pages and should contain the following:
- Your knowledge of the problem statement for this research work
- Brief literature review on optimization algorithms applied in transport and light rail transits
- References using Harvard Referencing style
